Son Chae Young is a South Korean rapper, singer, and songwriter under JYP Entertainment. She is is a member of the girl group TWICE.
Son was 14 years old when she joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee after passing two rounds of auditions. She started off as a singer but started to train as a rapper shortly after commencing her training. During her trainee days, she appeared in GOT7's "Stop Stop It" and Miss A's "Only You" music videos. On May 5, 2015, she became a contestant on JYP's newest survival show, SIXTEEN during which she was chosen as one of the nine members of TWICE. They officially debuted on October 20, 2015, with their first mini-album, The Story Begins.
Son became the first member to receive writing credits when she wrote the rap verse for Twice's version of J. Y. Park's Precious Love, as part of their 2016 release Page Two. She designed the group's limited edition Page Two album cover and also designed three different pairs of SPRIS shoes.
