Yoon Seok Hwa is a South Korean musical and theater actress. She graduated from Ewha Womans University's associated Geumran Girls' High School.
She made her debut in 1975 as part of a folk theater company with a role in the play "Honey Taste". She frequently appeared in musicals and plays until 2007 when she became involved in a major fraud controversy. She always claimed to be an alumna of Ehwa despite only having 1 year of credit courses and having attended a high school affiliated with the university.
In 2007, she confessed, in a handwritten note, to having forged her academic credentials. Her explanation never convinced the media or the public, so she moved to Hong Kong for several years. Further suspicions of tax evasion followed her but were never proven by the authorities. She returned to South Korea and has had supporting roles in several dramas such as "The Great Shaman Ga Doo-Shim" and "Remarriage & Desires", to name a few.
